Booking and Payments

We have a 24 hour cancellation period, payment will be taken for on the day cancellations of any session or lesson.

We kindly ask that you book in at minimum 1 day before the date, please get in touch if your needs are outside of this request we can try accommodate if able to.

Nope, no deposit is required. However, payment must be made on the date of booking or date provided on invoice.

We accept cash or bank transfer. Gift cards can also be purchased via the website.

Do you work with all genres of music?

Our studio comfortably accommodates up to 5 people, depending on the setup. If you have more than 5 please let us know when booking your session.
Preparing for Your Session

We ask that you bring your main instrument and a note of at least 2 reference songs, to get an idea of the genre and style you’d like.

Not to worry, you can use ours! We have a selection of electric/acoustic guitars, bass, piano and midi drums amongst other smaller instruments.

Yes, the more ears the better! 2 guests limit.

During Your Session

Absolutely! Let us know your needs when booking so we can optimise the setup and get started straight away.

We provide basic refreshments and have a kettle and coffee machine, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Our neighbours include Paesano, Piece, Isle of Coffee and Sprigg so you’re not far from tasty treats.

We’re here to help you achieve the sound you want. Please communicate your concerns with Robbie when they arise, we can make adjustments to get the best result for you. If you’re still not happy we’d recommend booking in some more studio time.

We champion a pay-as-you-go approach at £30 per hour. As long as there are no booking conflicts or anyone scheduled immediately after your session, we’re happy to continue recording and help you make the most of your time.

Of course, casual filming and photography is encouraged.
However, if it’s a full production with extensive equipment or setup, we’d need notice in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Smoking is prohibited. Alcohol may be permitted under certain conditions; please discuss in advance.
After Your Session

Turnaround time depends on studio workload or on the project size but we aim to send it over within 3-4 working days.

Although a backup of all sessions will be made, Tranter Studios cannot guarantee the future integrity of any archived project files.

Whilst we don’t manage promotion or distribution for you, our aim is to equip you with everything you need to do so. Our recording service will provide you with all the audio content you need to promote your music, distribution plans are also available on request.

Yes, if you have feedback or would like adjustments, reach out to us. Additional edits, mixing, or mastering may incur extra costs depending on the work required.

Any damage must be reported to Tranter Studios immediately to be assessed. The client will be liable to pay for damaged equipment.
